We always talk about the IITS AND IIMS.This is our top educational institutions.But these are not even in top 200 universities of the world.We have the a education system in which there is no practicality only theoris,exams and marks,and still we talking about quality which is destroyed by our system. The truth is that we lost our quality education because in the past world,s top two universities are NALANDA and TAKSHILA from INDIA.

Expressing concern over the quality of education, Pitroda noted that leaving aside top few universities in the country, the quality of education in India was pretty bad.
"Eight bills (relating to education) are lying in Parliament because these are generational changes. I am quite concerned about our ability to focus on reforms and development," Pitroda said.
Expressing concern over the present quality of education in the country, Sam Pitroda, advisor to the Prime Minister, today said that the mindset of the government ministries and UGC was not changing fast and it was still living in the dark ages.
"The ministries and UGC is just not changing fast enough ...it is living in dark ages...Teachers do little research and scientists don't teach and are busy solving the problem of the rich," Pitroda, advisor to the Prime Minister on public information infrastructure and innovations, said while addressing a program here.
